I remember my cousin, who is a certified Star Wars geek, mentioning about this: The Star Wars Saga is said to be released soon. I am not sure if all the other geeks are happy about it even if the exact release date was not readily revealed. Amazon has updated its preorder ship dates to September 27th though. The clamor is not that too big as most fans prefer the last three episodes of the George Lucas blockbuster. We’ll see when September sets in.

There are reports saying that even if the Star Wars series have not been released in Blu-Ray yet, George Lucas intends to bring in the episodes in 3D come 2012. Fans, do not get too excited though as the plan is to release each one per year. So if you got all giddy with Episode 4, you have at least five years to wait. The decision allegedly came after Avatar and realizing that by 2012 technology has caught on and more screens will be capable of showing 3D even at homes. However, a lot of people are against it saying that it is much better to re-release the original versions first in Blu-Ray before embarking on 3D.
