Coconut Oil for the Hair
Friends were discussing about dry hair the other day and numerous suggestions were raised. One of them told all others that she would apply coconut oil on her hair’s roots and ends, leave it overnight and just rinse in the morning. Voila, instant shine for the hair. She would sleep on a towel on her pillow so as not to stain the sheets. I am not sure I got which product she is using but I know it is the organic kind. She also suggested virgin coconut oil is even better.
This is not something new especially to those who grew up in a tropical country like yours truly. I grew up knowing that a coconut tree in the backyard is normal. Anyway, the elders would do this to my aunts and the trick really works. Now that I am older, maybe I should try this again. This could be the solution to my dry hair and to minimize falling strands, too.
Taking Your Hair to Great Lengths
Literally!
If you are like me who has unruly hair (I used to have really straight and shiny hair but got ruined when I started having it colored—another story), then you might want to consider getting hair extensions. As for me, I have not tried it yet but I have heard very good feedback from friends and they love their extensions. Extensions, as opposed to wigs, can look really natural and undetectable. These are applied using the strand by strand fusion method and even if you run your hands through it, you will not notice where the ends are located.
